I wasn't aware the Pontiac GTO was a compact car..Well that one mistake changes the shape of your question completely. You want to compare a GTO to compact cars? No comparison, except when it comes to gas mileage.

lol well because you asked:2003 and 2004 mustang cobras have 400hp and are lighter therefore a bit faster on average.
the 2007+ GT500 Mustang comes with 500hp
the new 2011 mustang GT with the new 5.0 engine come with 412HP
and the 2011 GT500 comes rated at 550HP
the new camaro comes with 426hp if its a manual and 400 if its auto but they are lighter as well so they out perform the GTO.
both of these are more compact than the GTO
but you just got a very nice vehicle. why are you looking for a new one?
the backseats on the GTO are very roomy and comfy and you cant beat that IRS equipped ride.

Apparently you are not very familiar with cars. More power is available in many cars, compact or not. One of approximately the same size and weight and also American manufacture would be the 568hp Cadillac CTS-V. Maybe with your GTO trade-in and 80,000 extra you can own one.Answer #7:
